Brother Barry, A faithful Sister in the Lord would be the way to describe Sister Lowe. She was faithful to the Lord and her Brethren. At a time when many people find reasons to stay home and not come to church, our Sister was faithful to be in fellowship as often as she could, even as age and ill health set in. She is another marvelous example to us that we can follow.
As has been said, she always brought some of the best creamed corn to our third Sabbath lunches. Being a country boy at heart, I always tried to make sure I got some of it. At her funeral I heard about the great prayer warrior she was. I had not known that, but I do realize that was a gift from God. She was truly a blessing to all who were a part of her life, and her legacy will continue to be a blessing.
She lived a life of being ready to meet her Lord. Her works do follow her. As Apostle Paul said, she can also say, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing." (2 Tim. 4:7-8)
Let us who knew her always be ready to meet our Savior and Lord in the clouds and be reunited with her and many others who are in Christ.
